Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff Colleagues,

We are all deeply saddened by the loss of life and destruction caused by Hurricane Matthew. The devastation is particularly tragic in Haiti, home to many members of the Northeastern family.

In addition to undergraduate and graduate students who hail from Haiti, a significant number of our employees—specifically in facilities and in our dining halls—have direct ties to Haiti. The scope of the damage is immense and heart-breaking. As a community, we must join in support of all in our community who have been affected by this catastrophe.

Our WeCare program stands ready to assist students in need of support. Please contact northeastern.edu/wecare or 617-373-4384. Staff and faculty can contact the Employee Assistance Program at 617-373-2230.

Northeastern is a global community, engaged with the world. Engagement means that we take action to support our community members, and others, in times of tragedy. Please join me in offering your assistance to the victims of Hurricane Matthew. Let us act together, as one Northeastern.

Sincerely,

Joseph E. Aoun
President
