I want you to know that we are here for you – and for our neighbors across Boston – following today’s terrible tragedy.
This harrowing incident has shocked and saddened all of us. It’s vital that we join together to draw strength and comfort from each other, and to support our home community, during this unsettling time.
If you need assistance – or if you know of someone who does – please do not hesitate to reach out.
Our university colleagues will help in whatever way we can. Northeastern students can contact the WeCare program at wecare@neu.edu or (617) 373-4384. Northeastern faculty and staff may contact the Employee Assistance Program at (877) 739-3989.
We also have made campus resources available to members of the broader Boston community who have been affected by this tragedy. We will continue to do so as long as it’s necessary.
If you haven’t taken the opportunity yet – please let your loved ones know you are safe and sound.
If you have some time to spare – please think about what you can do to help your neighbors and your community in this time of need.
In the coming days – please look out for your friends and colleagues even more closely. We’ll be doing the same for each other.
May all of us join together in support of one another – and in sympathy for those who are suffering in our community and nation right now. Though we are in pain, our city will emerge from this tragedy even stronger than before.
Sincerely,
Joseph E. Aoun
President
